Gateway to South African wine

TEDDY HALL
"South Africa has been described as having some of the most beautiful scenery in the wine world by acclaimed international wine writers Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. They would know, having travelled the globe in pursuit of wine! Yes, it's spectacular - especially around Stellenbosch and Somerset West - but to me it is also simply a place I call home..." - Teddy Hall

Teddy Hall Blanc de blancs MCC 2005
As befits a bubbly, this Blanc de blanc Methode Cap Classique is full of vigorous fine bubbles! A touch nervous with its vibrant acidity carrying the Chardonnay's fruit and yeasty, fresh baked bread flavours on the palate. Given time it will develop additional complexity and depth. I'm particularly proud of this and believe it might well become a benchmark bubbly.
Alc: 12.5  RS: 4.5  pH: 3.33   TA: 6.5
Teddy Hall Chenin blanc Reserve 2008
A rich golden colour with the faintest of green tinges, the nose offers abundant nougat, pineapple and summer fruit aromas. On the palate there's a distinct dryness with the vanillins of the oak counterbalancing the tropical fruit and baked apple flavours. Underlining the wine's pedigree is an intense finish which lingers long after the mouthful has been swallowed.
Alc: 14  RS: 1.8  pH: 3.06   TA: 7.0
Teddy Hall Sauvignon blanc 2009
Pale straw is the description of the colour on this wine. While the nose provides around of fig and melons, in the mouth it is tangy and crisp with the same flavours following, along with some tropical notes too. The refreshing zestiness on the finish is an enticement to take yet another sip...
Alc: 13.0  RS: 4.2  pH: 3.13   TA: 8.8
Teddy Hall Syrah Reserve 2008
The deep purple, almost opaque Syrah Reserve 2008 is a complex wine. The palate is layered with mulberries and spice particularly apparent, along with a noticeable smoky Syrah character. The purity of black fruit and concentration is seductive. While still young, the finish is a touch mouth puckering but being packed with primary fruit flavours it will gain in complexity and seductiveness with age.
Alc: 14.0  RS: 2.7  pH: 3.7   TA: 5.1
Teddy Hall 'Summer Moments' Chenin blanc 2009
A zesty refreshing wine with great balance. Guava, pineapple and quince aromas complement the lively, fresh yet complex palate that finishes with a lingering sensation of tropical fruit and wild honey.
Alc: 13.5  RS: 5.0  pH: 3.3   TA: 6.5
