Gateway to South African wine

WAMAKERSVALLEI WINERY
Known for its world class Cabernet Sauvignon, award-winning Pinotage and once home to the General Smuts Trophy, Wamakersvallei, has most certainly captured the spirit of the brave and heroic pioneers who once braved the wild, uncharted road up North after stopping to check their wagons.

As part of one of the smallest wine routes in South Africa - the Wellington Wine Route - this cellar offers a wonderful escape from the city to one of the most scenic pockets of our winelands and a deserving wine encounter.

Amble through the underground cellar, sip some of the well-loved La Cave wines, taste the spirit of Andrew Bain in the Bain's Way wines or discover rare vintages and exciting offers in the modern, yet cosy tasting room.

Winner of the 2007 General Smuts Trophy
